Dr. Gary Parrett update

January 21, 2011

To the Gordon-Conwell family:

It has been over half a year since the terrible accident in Korea that seriously injured our Dr. Gary Parrett.

We know that many of you continue to pray for Gary and his family and have supported them in numerous ways. It is with great joy that we share with you that he was on our Hamilton campus Tuesday, January 18. He sat in the lunch room, spoke with students, faculty and staff and even participated in the Biblical Worship Doctor of Ministry Track. Below is a picture of him with some of the mentors and students in that track.

Dr. David Currie, the Director of our D.Min. program, wrote the following:

"Gary shared from Psalm 34 about the Lord leading him through a difficult time and encouraging us to seek the Lord who answers us and delivers us from all of our fears.  Very moving....  We also spent an hour or so singing his & Julie’s (Tennent) music, as well as many other hymns.  He joined us for a couple of hours one day during the residency as well."

We continue to bring Gary and his family before the Lord. However, we must also praise our Sovereign, healing Lord for the miraculous work He has already done.

Sola Deo Gloria!
