First Jacksonville Commencement

The Jacksonville campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary held its first-ever commencement exercises on May 22, in which four graduates received Master of Divinity degrees.

The commencement speaker was Sarah Lebhar Hall, Adjunct Professor of Old Testament at the Jacksonville campus, and opening remarks were given by Dr. Frank James, Provost of Gordon-Conwell. Graduating students were Barbara Flynn Brice, Elizabeth O’Rourke Brooke, David Allen Grachek and Jeanne Bressoud Higgins.

The commencement exercises followed graduation ceremonies for Gordon-Conwell’s other three campuses in Charlotte, NC; and South Hamilton and Boston, MA. The total number of degrees conferred was 348 master’s degrees and 66 doctoral degrees.
