Gordon-Conwell Signs New Agreement with Christian Book Distributors

November 11, 2009

South Hamilton, MA—Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Christian Book Distributors (CBD) have signed a new agreement that offers books, textbooks and other products at competitive prices and gives a portion of the proceeds to the seminary.

Beginning August 27, 2009, when orders are placed through a special CBD site developed for Gordon-Conwell, the seminary will receive a generous percentage of the proceeds from each order to support its educational mission.

CBD will offer free shipping to Massachusetts residents for orders over $25 during the two weeks preceding, and one week following, the start of each semester. Free shipping will be available for one week prior to the January term and each summer session.

For the upcoming fall semester, free shipping dates extend from August 27 through September 18.

For the benefit of students using the site, required and recommended books for each Hamilton campus course will be listed on the CBD-GCTS site, and plans are underway to post similar course book lists for the Boston, Charlotte and Jacksonville campuses in time for the spring semester.

The offer is available to all members of the Gordon-Conwell community, including alumni/ae, supporters and friends, and to any others interested in supporting the seminary. Gordon-Conwell will receive proceeds from each sale as long as orders are placed through the CBD-GCTS online site.

The Hamilton BookCentre will continue to offer textbooks and memorabilia.
