May 8 Commencement for 330 Graduates. Watch Live!

The Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Board of Trustees will confer 275 master’s degrees and 55 Doctor of Ministry degrees during commencement exercises at 10 a.m., May 8, in the Bennett Center of Gordon College.

The ceremonies will include the graduating students from the Center for Urban Ministerial Education (CUME), the Boston campus of Gordon-Conwell. An additional 74 master’s degrees and 16 doctoral degrees will be conferred May 15 during commencement exercises at the seminary’s Charlotte campus, and 4 master’s degrees will be conferred May 22 during the commencement exercises of the first graduating class of the seminary’s Jacksonville campus.

The commencement speaker will be Dr. Leith Anderson, President of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), an association of 61 denominations, hundreds of evangelical organizations and a constituency in the tens of millions. He has also been Senior Pastor of Wooddale Church in Minnesota since 1977 and hosts Faith Matters, a daily radio program broadcast on radio stations worldwide. Dr. Anderson has written 10 books, including, most recently, The Jesus Revolution. He has also written many articles and is a frequent speaker nationally and internationally. Dr. Anderson holds a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Cornerstone University.

A baccalaureate service will be held at 8 p.m., May 7, in the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel at Gordon College. The speaker will be Dr. Haddon W. Robinson, Harold John Ockenga Distinguished Professor of Preaching and Senior Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program.
