Think Theologically, Engage Globally and Live Biblically - Official Rules

Description of Contest
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary seeks to develop men and women who “Think Theologically, Engage Globally and Live Biblically.” The purpose of this contest is to give current students the opportunity to present what it means, or how it looks, to live in this way.

Contest Period
The contest will last from 04/25/11 until 12/31/11. All entries must be submitted by 12/31/11.

Who Can Enter
To be eligible to participate in this contest, you must be a current Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary student on any campus. (A current student, for the purposes of this contest, will be anyone who has taken a class during the 2010-2011 academic year, including Semlink classes for credit.)

You are not eligible to participate in this contest if you have a family member in the Communications Office or a family member on our panel of judges.

Contest Specifics
For the contest, please present what it means to “Think Theologically, Engage Globally and Live Biblically.” Participants may alternately choose one area of focus within this statement.

The contest is divided into two sections: an essay writing and video production. Students can only participate in one contest section (either the essay OR the video, not both). Only previously unpublished pieces will be accepted. Only one submission per student.

Winner Selection
Entries will be judged on creativity, clarity and conviction. Winners will be chosen by a committee comprised of staff and faculty and will be notified by email. Winners of the contest will receive a prize and their submission will be featured on the Gordon-Conwell website and in Gordon-Conwell’s Ministry Magazine Contact.

Additional Rules
All materials submitted shall become property of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and may be used in future publications or other promotional material. Contest is not open to employees of Gordon-Conwell (this does not include student workers). You are not eligible to participate in this contest if you have a family member in the Communications Office or a family member on our panel of judges.
