Four Alumni Receive Book Awards from Christianity Today

January 23, 2014

Christianity Today’s annual Book Awards highlight the books most likely to shape evangelical life, thought and culture. This year, books written by four Gordon-Conwell alumni received awards.

Dr. Scott Sunquist’s Understanding Christian Mission: Participation in Suffering and Glory received the “Missions/Global Affairs” award. Western Christians in Global Mission: What’s the Role of the North American Church? by Dr. Paul Borthwick received the award of merit in the same category.

Dr. Stephen Um received the “Christianity and Culture” award of merit for a book that he co-authored with Justin Buzzard, Why Cities Matter: To God, the Culture, and the Church. Kevin DeYoung’s Crazy Busy: A (Mercifully) Short Book About a (Really) Big Problem received the award of merit for the “Christian Living” category.

Congratulations, Scott, Paul, Stephen and Kevin!
